Craig Watson: My mob's Latji Latji. They're from the top end of Victoria.
So, all the area we stand on today, been here for thousands of years and intend to be here a lot longer.

I'm Craig Watson, my position is advisor to the CEO and the Chief of Staff and that's bringing in all the Traditional Owners’ advice and knowledge through to the higher levels of VicGrid.

Craig Watson: I was attracted to work with VicGrid because it's an opportunity for Indigenous voices to be implemented into a project, not only localised along the Murray River but in the statewide environment.

Craig Watson: I know VicGrid's passionate about bringing in partnerships that's benefiting Indigenous people and communities.

And this is a major step forward to bring that Indigenous voices into partnership to improve those values.
No one's perfect, and it's a rough road ahead, but that partnership is a big thing, and a big voice from Indigenous people needs to be heard—and it is being heard, which is great.

Craig Watson: Indigenous people are like any other person. We want benefits for the young ones.
We need employment in the industry to have jobs and prosper.
So, there are long-term objectives within the Indigenous and First Nations people.

Craig Watson: What I hope VicGrid can achieve is to incorporate those voices to its fullest capacity and see that First Nations peoples are now working in alliance with government departments to get objectives completed.
This is a new adventure.
This is a big part.
It's incredible what's on the table for Indigenous peoples.
