Alistair: This project is one of 12 that we're doing across Victoria, part of a $480 million dollar investment.

Alistair: What it does is it brings a transmission line that was passing the terminal station into the terminal station, and it enables better levels of renewable generation to be connected in.

Alistair: Across the projects we're doing, we expect them to enable about 2.3 gigawatts and just to give that some context that's roughly 16% of Victoria's electricity demand.

Alistair: One of the things we do as part of Victorian Government, is make sure that these projects really get as many services as possible from the local community, employing people in the local area, making sure that the economic benefits of this construction are really shared around in that local business community.

Juinn: AusNet is very proud to have delivered this project with the help of the community.

Juinn: We have created opportunities and also hands on experience for women, for young people, for apprentices, and also the Aboriginal community and we've all collaborated to deliver what Victoria needs for its renewable energy transition.

Alistair: There just aren't enough women working in the electricity sector we've had 23 women working on this project, so really bringing groups of people that historically haven't had opportunities in the sector and making sure we really create those opportunities.
